Manny Banuelos Bringing the Thunder

The biggest move of the day for the New York Good Guys turned out to be the promotion of Manny Banuelos from 2A Trenton to 3A Scranton Wilkes Barre.  Word is Jim and Pam Halpert are excited to welcome Banny (Big Triple Girardi nod) to the neighborhood.  The 20 year old prospect is now the youngest player in the International League and he earned that distinction by pitching to a 3.59 ERA at 2A with a 1 to 1 inning-to-strikout ratio (Banuelos stats here).  ManBan could complete his season at 3A or perhaps he’ll be a bullpen reinforcement for the big league club down the stretch.  Either way, good to get Manny out from behind the shadow of the great Kei Igawa.
