Top 10: Most hated athletes

I’m going to say it’s because of the ridiculous amounts of money they make, but it’s very easy to hate professional athletes. It could also be that they make a career out of playing a game, or that they only have to work a few years and then retire in southern Florida for a lifetime of relaxation. Whatever reason it is, when sports stars do things wrong, it makes sense to hold a grudge. Assume this will be the first list of many, because narrowing this list down to 10 is just a start. I’m not going for obscure, little known pro’s who don’t ring a bell. Here are your top 10 most hated athletes that you’ve heard of:

Michael Jordan trying to get Tiger out of his funk

Was it $50k or $500k per hole?

Whenever two  all time greats of their sports interact, it’s big news (Big Triple Girardi nod). This one is mostly one-sided but Yahoo Sports is reporting that Michael Jordan is giving some advice to Tiger Woods on his comeback trail. These two have a lot in common. Both are avid golfers, performed their fair share of infidelity, been the greatest active player in their sports, and love to gamble parts of their massive fortunes. MJ has mostly the standard things to say to Tiger, such as to make sure his return to sports is therapeutic and enjoyable. As well as saying he needs to “… heal before he gets back into those battles again.” Nothing earth shattering hear from his Airness, but it’s good to hear him stay in the news. Akron, hmm, don’t we know another greatest active player in their sport from there? How about a Lebron James sighting.
